a. Information You Provide to Us (Our Customers/Manufacturers):
- Account Information: When you sign up for a QRio account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details via Google Authentication.
- Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional details such as your business name, address, country of operation, and operating states (if applicable in India).
- Product Information: We store the details of the products you create, including name, description, quantity, and optional YouTube URLs.
- Purchase Information: We maintain a record of your requests to purchase additional QR codes, including the quantity, amount, and status of the request.
b. Information We Collect Automatically (From End-Consumers Scanning QR Codes):
- Product Verification Data: When an end-consumer scans a QR code on one of your products, our system logs the event to mark the product as "claimed."
- Geolocation Data (with consent): If the end-consumer grants permission, we collect their geolocation data (latitude and longitude) at the time of the scan. We use this to determine the province, district, and country of the scan. This information is anonymous and is not tied to any personal identity of the end-consumer. If permission is denied, the claim is processed without location data. The QRio platform provides clear and transparent information to the end user about why and how their location data is collected and used before requesting access.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain Our Service: To create and manage your account, generate QR codes, and run the core functionality of the platform.
- To Power Your Dashboard: The data from product scans (including location) is aggregated and displayed on your analytics dashboard, providing you with insights into sales performance, stock status, and geographic distribution.
- To Improve Our Services: We analyze usage patterns to understand how our service is being used, which helps us to improve features and usability.
- To Communicate With You: We use your email address to notify you about your purchase requests and other important service-related announcements.
- For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect your account and our platform from unauthorized access and fraudulent activities.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. Your data is used exclusively to provide the QRio service to you.
The only information shared publicly is the non-personal product information (name, description, business name) displayed to an end-consumer when they scan a QR code for verification.

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure cloud infrastructure provided by Google Firebase, to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Access to your data is strictly limited to authorized personnel and is protected by our security rules.

You have control over your personal information. You can access and update your profile information at any time through the "Settings" page in your dashboard. You also have the right to delete your account, which will permanently remove your profile, products, and all associated data from our systems.
